The Cascades Females Factory in South Hobart is a curious place, with an interesting and intriguing history, that helps to tell the lesser know story of the female and children convicts of colonial Tasmania.
Come and join us for a unique evening of insight.
Now on the World Heritage List, as one of 11 sites included in the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage Property (and one of six Tasmanian sites), this visit will give us the opportunity to hear about the role and evolution of the site from its earliest days of occupation to today.
It's not going to be the usual tour though.
On this tour, yes, you will find out more about the site's history, but the focus of this visit will be on its more recent history and how this curious place, with such limited fabric and features has ended up on the WH list, how its story is being told and how a visitor experience has been crafted.
Destined to be a memorable evening. Why not sign up today?
