The TMAGgots run edgy, quirky, unique experiences for young people (& the young @ heart) to experience art, history, heritage and science in Tasmania. We proudly declare we're "culture vultures". Check us out ..

What the ...?

The TMAGgots are a not-for-profit volunteer-run community organisation with the sole aim of connecting more young (& the young-at-heart) Tasmanians with the arts, culture, history, heritage and science through the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and other sites nearby.
We hold regular events throughout the year, usually in Hobart and it's immediate surrounds, which are based on exhibitions or happenings at the TMAG, and events or activities outside of the TMAG. Anyone between 18 and 40(ish) years old is welcome and encouraged to join us for some hearty cultural gluttony.

Upcoming events – both ours and others we think you might enjoy.

Coming soon:

We're excited, as we've confirmed our plans for our first event for 2015, which will be a unique opportunity to view the historic boatsheds at Cornelian Bay, finishing with a snag n cider (To register, look under Upcoming Events).

Then in April we're planning on having the TMAGgots head east for another terrific and moving evening at the cool Rosny  Barn complex on 24 April to help mark the Centenary of ANZAC.

And on 16 May we're planning on hosting our famous annual TMAGgots Quiz Night in the TMAG Central Gallery.  Sure to be a great night of entertainment, challenges and laughs.

This year is looking jam-packed with a range of cool events and activities, with something for everyone, from still life and life drawing sessions; cool exhibitions to check out at TMAG; a visit to explore curious parts of UTAS and hopefully a trip back to the TMAG Rosny storage facility.

2015 is a great year to connect with the TMAGgots, so keep an eye out for updates, sign-up as a member or guest and come along and join us in the fun as we get creative, gain some insight into the places that make Hobart tick and join the fun with some like-minded culture vultures ..

Don't forget ..

If you're keen to check out some cool places after hours, then why not grab a mate, pack a picnic and check out Shakespeare in the Gardens - A Comedy of Errors. Shows from Friday, 6 February in Hobart's glorious Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.

Up for even more cool stuff, then check it our Facebook page for details on a garden fete coming up at Narryna Heritage Museum in Hampton Rd, Battery Point, on Sunday, 15 March 2015.

We hope to see you soon.
